Devotional
Life is filled with decisions, big and small that shape our
future. At times, we may feel unsure about what to do or which direction to
take. In those moments, we often rely on our own understanding, yet still feel
uncertain.
James 1:5 gives us a simple and powerful promise: if we lack
wisdom, we can ask God. He is a generous God who gives wisdom freely to those
who seek Him. We do not need to be afraid or feel unworthy, because God does
not find fault in us when we come to Him.
God’s wisdom is different from human wisdom. It brings
clarity, peace, and guidance that aligns with His will. When we seek Him in
prayer and trust His direction, He helps us make decisions that honor Him.
Asking God for wisdom also requires a humble heart. It means
acknowledging that we do not have all the answers and choosing to depend on Him
instead of ourselves.
Today, whatever decision or situation you are facing, bring
it before God. Ask Him for wisdom and trust that He will guide you. His answers
may come through His Word, through peace in your heart, or through wise
counsel, but He will lead you.
Prayer
Lord, I come to You today, asking for Your wisdom. You know every
situation I face, and I need Your guidance. Help me not to rely on my own understanding, but to trust in
Your direction. Give me clarity, peace, and discernment in every decision I
make. In Jesus name, Amen.
