Bible Verse
Psalm 34:4
“I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from
all my fears.”
Devotional
Fear can quietly take hold of our hearts and affect the way
we think, act, and live. It may come from past experiences, uncertain
situations, or worries about the future. At times, fear can feel overwhelming
and difficult to overcome.
Psalm 34:4 gives us a powerful reminder of where to turn in
moments of fear. The psalmist says, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me.”
This shows that the first step in overcoming fear is to seek God. We are not
meant to face our fears alone.
God not only hears us, but He also delivers us from our
fears. This does not always mean that our circumstances change immediately, but
it means that God replaces fear with His peace, His presence, and His
assurance.
When we bring our fears to God in prayer, we begin to
experience His comfort. His presence calms our hearts and reminds us that He is
in control. The more we seek Him, the more our faith grows stronger than our
fears.
Today, whatever fear you may be facing, bring it to the
Lord. Seek Him with your whole heart and trust that He hears you. God is
faithful, and He is able to deliver you from fear and fill your heart with
peace.
Prayer
Lord, I come to You with my fears and worries. You know everything
that troubles my heart. Help me to seek You in every situation and to trust that You
hear me. Replace my fear with Your peace and strengthen my faith in You. In Jesus name, Amen.
