Bible Verse
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Devotional
Life today is often filled with noise, busyness, and
constant activity. Many people move from one task to another without taking
time to pause. In the middle of this fast-paced life, it can be easy to forget
to slow down and focus on God.
Psalm 46:10 gives us a simple but powerful instruction: “Be
still, and know that I am God.” This verse reminds us that sometimes the most
important thing we can do is to stop, quiet our hearts, and remember who God
is.
Being still does not only mean physical silence. It means
calming our worries, fears, and anxious thoughts before the Lord. When we pause
and come into God's presence, we allow Him to remind us that He is in control
of every situation.
When we recognize that God is sovereign, our hearts can find
peace. We do not need to carry every burden on our own. Instead, we can rest in
the assurance that God is greater than our problems and faithful in every
circumstance.
Today, take a moment to be still before God. Put aside
distractions, quiet your heart, and remember that He is God. In His presence,
you will find peace, strength, and renewed trust for the journey ahead.
Prayer
Lord, Help me to slow down and be still before You. In the middle
of a busy and noisy world, teach me to quiet my heart and remember that You are
God. Remove my worries and fears, and fill my heart with Your
peace. Help me to trust in Your power and rest in Your presence each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
