Commit Your Way to the Lord

Bible Verse

Psalm 37:5

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this.”

Devotional

Life is full of decisions, plans, and uncertainties. Many times we try to control everything ourselves because we want to make sure things go the way we expect. However, there are moments when our plans do not work out as we hoped.

Psalm 37:5 encourages us to commit our way to the Lord. To commit means to place something completely into God’s hands. It means trusting that He knows what is best for our lives and believing that His plans are greater than our own.

When we surrender our plans to God, we allow Him to guide our steps. Instead of carrying the burden of trying to control every detail, we learn to walk in faith, trusting that God is working in ways we may not always see.

Committing our way to God also means seeking Him through prayer, reading His Word, and asking for His wisdom in every decision we make. As we trust Him more deeply, our hearts begin to experience peace even in uncertain situations.

Today, bring your plans, dreams, and worries before the Lord. Place your path into His hands and trust Him to lead you. God is faithful, and when we commit our way to Him, He will guide our lives according to His perfect will.

Prayer

Lord, Today I commit my life and my plans into Your hands. You know my future better than I do, and I trust that Your plans are good. Help me to rely on You in every decision I make. Guide my steps and give me peace as I place my path in Your care. In Jesus name, Amen.
