Bible Verse

Proverbs 16:3

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Devotional

Every day we make plans, set goals, and work hard to achieve the things we hope for. Whether it is our work, studies, ministry, or personal responsibilities, we often try to manage everything with our own strength and understanding. However, Proverbs 16:3 reminds us of an important truth: we are called to commit everything we do to the Lord.

To commit our work to God means to place our plans, efforts, and desires into His hands. It means inviting God to guide our decisions and trusting Him with the results. When we acknowledge God in our work, we recognize that He is the true source of wisdom, strength, and success.

Sometimes our plans may not go the way we expected. There may be obstacles, delays, or unexpected changes. Yet when we commit our work to the Lord, we can trust that He is still guiding our path. God sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for our lives.

When we work with a heart that honors God, our work becomes more than just a task. It becomes an act of worship. Through our diligence, integrity, and faithfulness, we reflect God’s character to the world around us.

Today, take a moment to surrender your plans and work to God. Ask Him to lead you, give you wisdom, and establish the plans that align with His will.

Prayer

Lord, Thank You for the work and responsibilities You have given me. I commit all my plans and efforts into Your hands. Guide my decisions and give me wisdom in everything I do. Help me to work with a heart that honors You. Establish my plans according to Your perfect will. In Jesus name, Amen.
