Bible Verse
Psalm 62:5
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.”
Devotional
Life often brings moments when we feel tired, discouraged,
or uncertain about what lies ahead. Problems, responsibilities, and
disappointments can sometimes make our hearts feel heavy. During these times,
we may search for hope in many places in people, achievements, or
circumstances.
However, Psalm 62:5 gently reminds us where true hope is
found. David speaks to his own soul and says, “Find rest in God; my hope comes
from Him.” This shows us that real hope does not come from temporary things but
from a relationship with God.
Hope in the Lord is not just wishful thinking. It is a
confident trust that God is faithful and that He is working in our lives even
when we cannot see the full picture. When we place our hope in Him, our hearts
can find rest and peace.
Sometimes we must remind ourselves of this truth just as
David did. When fear, doubt, or worry tries to take over our thoughts, we can
turn our hearts back to God and remember that He is our source of hope.
God’s hope is steady and unchanging. While circumstances may
shift and challenges may come, the Lord remains faithful. When we trust Him,
our hearts can remain calm even in uncertain situations.
Today, take a moment to place your hope in the Lord again.
Let your soul find rest in His presence, knowing that He is faithful and His
promises never fail.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for being the source of my hope. When my heart
feels tired or discouraged, help me to find rest in You. Remind me that my hope
does not depend on my circumstances but on Your faithfulness. Fill my heart
with peace and strengthen my trust in You each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
