Lamentations 3:22–23
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for
His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your
faithfulness.”
Devotional
Life is filled with changing seasons. There are times when
everything feels joyful and hopeful, but there are also moments when we feel
tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed by the challenges around us. During such
times, it can be difficult to see the good in our situation.
Yet Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us of a powerful and
comforting truth: God’s love never runs out, and His mercy never fails. Even
when circumstances around us feel uncertain, God’s faithfulness remains
constant.
The verse tells us that God’s mercies are new every morning.
This means that every new day is a fresh reminder of God’s grace in our lives.
Yesterday’s mistakes, worries, or struggles do not define today, because God
lovingly renews His mercy for us again and again.
God’s faithfulness does not depend on our strength or our
ability to always do the right thing. It flows from His unchanging character.
He is always loving, always compassionate, and always faithful to His promises.
When the sun rises each morning, it quietly reminds us that
God has given us another opportunity to experience His grace. His faithfulness
continues to carry us through every season of life.
Today, take a moment to remember that no matter what you are
facing, God’s compassion never fails. His mercy is new today, and His
faithfulness will guide you through whatever lies ahead.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for Your endless love and faithfulness. Thank You
that Your mercy is new every morning. When I feel weak, discouraged, or
uncertain, remind me that You are always faithful. Help me trust in Your
goodness and rest in the assurance that Your love never fails. Guide my steps
today and strengthen my heart with Your peace. In Jesus name, Amen.
