Putting on the Armor of God

Bible Verse

Ephesians 6:11

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Devotional

The Christian life is not only a journey of faith but also a spiritual battle. In Ephesians 6:11, we are reminded to “put on the full armor of God” so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil. This verse teaches us that God has provided everything we need to remain strong in our faith.

Just like a soldier needs armor for protection in battle, believers need spiritual armor to stand firm against temptation, doubt, and discouragement. The armor of God includes truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and readiness to share the gospel of peace.

Putting on the armor of God means choosing to live according to His truth every day. When we fill our hearts with God’s Word, spend time in prayer, and trust in His promises, we become stronger spiritually. God’s truth protects our minds, His righteousness guards our hearts, and our faith helps us overcome fear and lies.

Spiritual battles may come in many forms; temptation, worry, negative thoughts, or difficult circumstances. But we are never alone in these battles. God stands with us and gives us the strength to remain faithful.

When we rely on God and wear His armor daily, we can stand firm with confidence. His power protects us, guides us, and helps us overcome every challenge.

Today, remember to put on the armor of God. Stay close to Him, trust in His Word, and stand strong in the faith He has given you.

Prayer

Lord, Thank You for giving me the armor I need to face the battles of life. Help me to stand strong in Your truth and to trust in Your strength each day. Protect my heart and mind from temptation and fear. Teach me to rely on Your Word and to walk faithfully with You. In Jesus name, Amen.
