Bible Verse
Philippians 4:4
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
Devotional
Joy is something that many people seek in life. Often,
people try to find joy in success, possessions, or favorable circumstances.
However, the joy that comes from these things can easily disappear when
situations change.
In Philippians 4:4, the Apostle Paul encourages believers to
rejoice in the Lord always. This instruction is remarkable because Paul wrote
these words while facing difficult circumstances. His joy did not come from his
situation, but from his relationship with God.
Rejoicing in the Lord means finding our deepest joy in who
God is rather than in what is happening around us. God’s goodness,
faithfulness, and love never change, and because of that, our joy can remain
steady even when life is challenging.
When we focus our hearts on God, gratitude begins to grow
within us. We start to recognize His blessings, His presence, and His work in
our lives. This kind of joy strengthens our faith and fills our hearts with
hope.
Today, choose to rejoice in the Lord. No matter what
circumstances you may be facing, remember that God is still good, still
faithful, and still worthy of praise.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for the joy that comes from knowing You. When
circumstances around me are difficult, help me to remember that my true joy is
found in You. Fill my heart with gratitude and teach me to rejoice in Your
goodness each day. Let my life reflect the joy and hope that come from walking
with You. In Jesus name, Amen.
