Bible Verse
Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will
give you rest.”
Devotional
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Responsibilities,
worries, and challenges can leave us feeling tired both physically and
emotionally. In the midst of these struggles, Jesus gives us a beautiful and
comforting invitation in Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus understands the burdens we carry. He sees the
pressures we face, the fears we hold, and the struggles in our hearts. Instead
of trying to handle everything on our own, Jesus invites us to come to Him. His
invitation is open to everyone who feels tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed.
The rest that Jesus offers is not only physical rest, but
also rest for our souls. When we bring our worries, fears, and burdens to Him
in prayer, He fills our hearts with peace and comfort. In His presence, we find
renewal, hope, and strength to continue.
Sometimes we try to solve every problem ourselves, but God
never intended for us to carry life’s burdens alone. He invites us to trust Him
and to place our struggles in His hands.
Today, if you feel tired or burdened, remember the loving
invitation of Jesus. Come to Him, rest in His presence, and allow His peace to
refresh your heart.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for inviting me to come to You when I feel weary
and burdened. Help me to trust You with every worry and struggle in my life.
Fill my heart with Your peace and give rest to my soul. Renew my strength and
remind me that I am never alone because You are always with me. In Jesus name, Amen.
