Bible Verse
Ephesians 2:8
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and
this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
Devotional
One of the most beautiful truths in the Bible is that our
salvation comes from God’s grace. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us that we are saved
not because of our own efforts, achievements, or goodness, but because of God’s
loving grace.
Grace means receiving something wonderful that we do not
deserve. As human beings, we often try to prove our worth through our actions.
We may think that if we try hard enough, we can earn God’s love. But the Bible
clearly tells us that salvation is a gift from God.
God, in His great love, sent Jesus Christ to save us.
Through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are forgiven and given a new life. This gift
cannot be bought, earned, or achieved by our own strength. It is freely given
by God to those who believe in Him.
Faith is how we receive this gift of grace. When we place
our trust in Jesus, we accept the salvation that God offers to us. This reminds
us that our relationship with God is built on His love, not on our perfection.
Understanding God’s grace should fill our hearts with
gratitude and humility. It reminds us that everything we have comes from God’s
kindness. It also encourages us to show grace and kindness to others, just as
God has shown grace to us.
Today, remember that you are loved and saved by God’s grace.
You do not have to earn His love, He freely gives it to you through Jesus
Christ.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for Your amazing grace. Thank You that my
salvation is not based on my own efforts but on Your love and mercy. Help me to
live each day with gratitude for the gift of salvation You have given me. Teach
me to trust in You and to share Your grace with others. In Jesus name, Amen.
