Bible Verse
Psalm 27:14
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for
the Lord.”
Devotional
Waiting is often one of the hardest things for us to do. In
a world that moves quickly, we naturally want immediate answers and quick
solutions to our problems. However, God often works in ways that require
patience and trust.
Psalm 27:14 reminds us to wait for the Lord with strength
and courage. Waiting on God does not mean doing nothing. Instead, it means
trusting His timing while continuing to walk faithfully with Him.
When we wait on the Lord, we learn to rely on His wisdom
rather than our own understanding. Sometimes God delays answers because He is
preparing something better than we can imagine. Other times, He is shaping our
character and strengthening our faith during the waiting season.
Waiting also teaches us humility. It reminds us that God
sees the whole picture while we only see a small part of it. Even when we
cannot understand what He is doing, we can trust that His plans are good.
If you are in a season of waiting today, do not lose heart.
Continue to pray, seek God, and trust His promises. At the right time, God will
guide your steps and reveal His perfect plan.
Prayer
Lord, Sometimes waiting is difficult for me. Help me to trust Your
timing and not become discouraged when answers do not come quickly. Give me strength and patience as I wait on You. Teach me to
rely on Your wisdom and to believe that Your plans are always good. In Jesus name, Amen.
