Bible Verse
2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we live by faith, not by sight.”
Devotional
Life often presents situations where we cannot clearly see
what lies ahead. There are moments when the future feels uncertain and we wish
we had all the answers before taking the next step. It is natural for us to
want clarity and control over what will happen.
However, 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us of a different way of
living, living by faith, not by sight.
Living by sight means relying only on what we can see,
understand, or predict. But living by faith means trusting God even when we
cannot see the full picture. Faith invites us to believe that God is guiding
our lives, even when the path ahead seems unclear.
Throughout the Bible, many people followed God without
knowing exactly where He would lead them. They trusted His promises and
believed that He was working for their good. In the same way, God calls us
today to trust Him step by step.
Living by faith does not mean that we will never feel afraid
or uncertain. It means choosing to trust God despite those feelings. It means
believing that His wisdom is greater than our understanding and that His plans
are always good.
When we walk by faith, we learn to depend on God daily. We
take one step at a time, trusting that He is leading us in the right direction.
Today, whatever situation you are facing, remember that God
sees the whole path even when you cannot. Trust Him with your steps and walk
forward with faith.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for guiding my life even when I cannot see the way
clearly. Help me to trust You more and to walk by faith instead of relying only
on what I can see. When I feel uncertain or afraid, remind me that You are
always leading me. Strengthen my faith each day and help me follow You with
confidence and peace. In Jesus name, Amen.
