Bible Verse
Micah 6:8
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the
Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with
your God.”
Devotional
Many people wonder what God truly desires from our lives. We
may think that pleasing God requires great achievements or extraordinary
actions. However, Micah 6:8 gives us a clear and simple picture of what God
asks from us.
God calls us to live with justice, to love mercy, and to
walk humbly with Him. Acting justly means choosing what is right and fair in
the way we treat others. Loving mercy means showing kindness, forgiveness, and
compassion to people around us, just as God has shown mercy to us.
Walking humbly with God means living each day in close
relationship with Him. It means recognizing that we need His wisdom, guidance,
and grace in every part of our lives. Humility allows us to trust God rather
than relying only on our own strength.
When we walk with God, our hearts begin to change. We grow
in kindness, patience, and love for others. Our lives become a reflection of
God's character to the world around us.
Today, remember that walking with God is not about
perfection, but about a daily relationship with Him. Step by step, as we seek
Him, God shapes our hearts and leads us in His ways.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for showing me how to live according to Your will.
Teach me to act with justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You each day.
Help me to depend on Your guidance and grow in kindness toward others. May my
life reflect Your love wherever I go. In Jesus name, Amen.
