Bible Verse
Psalm 86:11
“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your
faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.”
Devotional
In a world filled with many opinions, voices, and
influences, it can sometimes be difficult to know which path to follow. People
often rely on their own understanding or follow what others say is right. Yet
the Bible reminds us that true wisdom comes from walking in God’s truth.
In Psalm 86:11, David prays a humble and sincere prayer:
“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness.” David
recognized that he needed God’s guidance to live in the right way. Instead of
depending only on his own understanding, he asked God to teach him how to live.
Walking in truth means living according to God’s Word. It
means allowing His truth to shape our decisions, our attitudes, and our actions
each day. When we follow God’s truth, we walk on a path that leads to wisdom,
peace, and a deeper relationship with Him.
David also asked God to give him an undivided heart. This
shows his desire to fully follow God without being distracted by other
influences. A heart that is focused on God seeks to honor Him in every part of
life.
Today, we can pray the same prayer that David prayed. We can
ask God to teach us His ways and help us walk in His truth. As we read His Word
and seek His guidance, He will lead us on the path that is right.
When we walk in God’s truth, our lives become a reflection
of His love and faithfulness to the world around us.
Prayer
Lord, Teach me Your ways and guide me to walk in Your truth. Help
me not to rely only on my own understanding but to trust in Your Word and Your
faithfulness. Give me a heart that is fully devoted to You and help me honor
You in everything I do. Lead my steps each day according to Your truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
