Bible Verse
Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see
the place where he lay.”
Devotional
Matthew 28:6 declares the greatest victory in history: Jesus
is no longer in the tomb, He has risen. The resurrection is the foundation of
our faith and the fulfillment of God’s promise. It reminds us that death has
been defeated and that new life is available through Christ.
Resurrection Sunday is a celebration of hope, victory, and
transformation. The empty tomb is proof that God’s power is greater than sin,
fear, and even death itself. What once seemed like the end became a new
beginning through the resurrection of Jesus.
Preparing our hearts for this truth means embracing the hope
that the resurrection brings. It calls us to move from doubt to faith, from
fear to confidence, and from despair to joy. Because Jesus lives, we have a
living hope that cannot be taken away.
The resurrection also invites us to live a new life. Just as
Christ was raised from the dead, we too are called to walk in a renewed
life, leaving behind our old ways and stepping into the purpose God has for us.
When we truly understand the resurrection, our hearts are
filled with joy and gratitude. We are reminded that no situation is beyond
God’s power to restore and renew.
Today, rejoice in the truth that Jesus is alive. Let His
victory fill your heart with hope, and walk boldly in the new life He has given
you.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for the resurrection of Jesus and the hope it
brings. Help me to live in the power of this truth each day. Fill my heart with
joy, faith, and confidence, knowing that You have overcome death. Teach me to
walk in the new life You have given me and to share this hope with others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
