1 John 4:9 reveals the heart of God in a simple yet powerful
way, His love was not just spoken, but demonstrated. God showed His love by
sending His only Son into the world so that we might have life through Him.
The cross of Christ is the clearest expression of that love.
Jesus came not only to teach or to guide, but to give His life for us. Through
His sacrifice, we are offered forgiveness, restoration, and a new life.
Preparing our hearts begins with understanding this love.
Often, we may question our worth or wonder if we are truly loved. But the cross
answers that question with certainty, God loves us deeply and personally.
This love is not based on what we have done, but on who God
is. He chose to love us even when we were undeserving. When we receive this
truth, our hearts begin to change. We are no longer defined by fear or
insecurity, but by the love of God.
A prepared heart is one that accepts this love and allows it
to flow into every area of life. It becomes a heart that reflects the same love
to others through kindness, forgiveness, and compassion.
The cross invites us not only to believe in God’s love, but
to live in it daily. When we truly understand His love, we are transformed from
the inside out.
Today, take time to reflect on the love of God shown through
the cross. Receive it, rest in it, and let it shape the way you live.
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for showing Your love through Jesus. Help me to
fully understand and receive Your love in my heart. Prepare my heart to live in
that love and to share it with others. Let Your love transform my life and
guide my actions each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
